Tango Houding/Posture
The word milonga actually has double meaning: it denotes dance salons as well as certain type of tango dance. The milonga dance is a predecessor of tango. It emerged in Buenos Aires at the end of 19th century as a combination of habañera, African-American dances, polka and mazurka. During the following century this astounding combination evolved into graceful dance, still retaining its folkloric nature, quick (sometimes even too quick) and cheerful. Being very dynamic, milonga requires excellent contact between the partners and complete relaxation of their legs. So a well-performed milonga is definitely a way to score!
